SO LONG, BABYLON
A refugee from Eden, he has come to Babylon.
He finds it all so interesting, too bad it must go down.
He comes to bring a message which we do not wish to hear:
"In Eden they are saying that The Fall is very near,
Babylon is just too dangerous for everything alive,
And in Eden they are ready to make sure the world survives.
There must be some changes in how Babylon is run
Or this all rearranges, and it's soon to be
So Long to Babylon."
The message that he brings us is one we've heard before,
Same old ecological-doom-stuff, except there is a little-bit more:
"If the filth of poison industry and warfare does not cease
Babylon will tumble into broken gears and grease,
But if the Earth could be unravaged, then we all could get along.
If not, there are arrangements made to tumble Babylon.
There must be some changes in how Babylon is run
Or this all rearranges, and it's soon to be
So Long to Babylon."
Tell us, is is this a prediction, or is this a threat?
The refugee says, "I don't know, it hasn't happened yet."
Well, tell them back in Eden just what fools they have to be
To challenge Mighty Babylon with our technology.
He says "But they have got their Magic, just as you have fire and steel,
Because you do not see it does not mean it is not real.
Since long before Atlantis fell, Eden has watched on.
Believe me, there is power that can tumble Babylon.
There must be some changes in how Babylon is run
Or this all rearranges, and it's soon to be
So Long to Babylon."
