ROMANTIC CITY
Where is that lonely girl wandering the streets of Paris
Wishing that the night would bring romance?
And here am I, just a lonely guy
Playing my guitar to the Eiffel Tower
And just wishing I could give that girl a chance.
Romantic City, dressed in lights,
It's just a pity that my nights
Are spent alone here
With no one to be near.
Those lovers walking hand in hand
And kissing by the River Seine
Can hear the music I am playing
And it's all part of their scene,
Warm Paris night out of a dream
And to them my guitar seems
To be
Part of the
Romantic City.
Anyway, I love it here,
I'm living cheap so I can stay awhile
I wander through the streets and shops and bars
Watching people swirl by, Yes, and looking at the girls, I
Buy a little wine, but I save it till it's time
To go out into the night and play guitar.
Romantic City, dressed in lights,
It's just a pity that my nights
Are spent alone here
With no one to be near.
Those lovers walking hand in hand
And kissing by the River Seine
Can hear the music I am playing
And it's all part of their scene,
Warm Paris night out of a dream
And to them my guitar seems
To be
Part of the
Romantic City.
